Murdeshwar: About 2000 litres of diesel spilled on road as lorry collides with tanker

Bhatkal 4 June 2019:(Bhatkallys News Bureau) Collision between a tanker and a tipper lorry resulted in leakage of diesel at National Highway-66 near Ternamakki of Murdeshwar here on Monday, 4 June. According to the sources, a tipper lorry rammed into a diesel tanker which was moving ahead of it. As a result, the rear side of the tanker was left completely damaged and it started leaking diesel at the accident spot. It is estimated that, about 2000 liters of diesel was spilled on the road due to the accident. However, locals were seen carrying diesel using buckets and bottles from the accident spot. Fire brigade team rushed to the spot and cleared the situation. A case in this regard has been registered at Murdeshwar Police Station. (Bhatkallys News Bureau)
