Murdeshwar: 38 year old fisherman dies after slipping into sea while fishing

Murdeshwar 30 August 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) A 38 year old fisherman died after drowning while he slipped into the waters while throwing his fishing net into the sea near Murdeshwar here on Wednesday 29 August. The deceased has been identified as Rama Manjappa Harikanth (38), a resident of Mavalli of Murdeshwar. According to the source, Rama on Wednesday evening around 7:30 pm went into the sea on his boat for fishing, and while throwing his fishing net into the waters he got his leg tangled into the fishing net and threw himself along with the net. The victim couldn’t make his way back to the boat and died on the spot, his body was later recovered from the sea and a case was registered at Murdeshwar Police station.
