Municipality official conducts raid in Bhatkal shops

Bhatkal - 17 Apr 2012: Bhatkal Municipality officials under the leadership of Municipal Chief Ms Anupama conducted a raid at several shops in Bhatkal market and seized illegal plastic bags which are being used in these shops. It may be noted that, Govt has banned the use of plastic bags below 40 microns.

Speaking to reporters after carrying out raid she said that it was necessary because we had received information about the use of illegal plastic bags in the town. She said that strict action will be taken against violators.
