Municipal Officers meet Makdum Colony Residents: People raise issues

Bhatkal: September 9, 2020 (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Officials of Bhatkal Municipality have been visiting various areas of Bhatkal for the last two days to know the public issues and trying to mitigate them. After Bhatkal Sultani Mohalla and Madina Colony, a meeting was held today in Fatima Ali Hall of Makhdoom Colony to hear the issues of Wards 8, 3, 4 and 9 of Makhdoom Colony. Officials of Shaheen Sports Center, Al-Hilal Sports Center, Jamaat-e-Muslimeen Makhdoom Colony and Super Star Sports Center participated in it. On this occasion, the people highlighted the inflated water bill, dilapidated condition of roads, problems in street lights etc. Similarly, the problems faced by the people due to accumulation of garbage and mud in drainage were also mentioned. Municipal Chief Officer Devaraj, Health Officer Sujia Soman, Venu Gopal Shastri and many other officers were present on behalf of the municipality. Municipal Councilors Ismail Imshad, Shabina Shangiri, Priya Fernandez and Pascal Gomes were also present.
