MP Anant Kumar calls Bhatkal 'terrorist haven'

14th April 2013 / Rizwan Gangavaly / Bhatkallys News Bhatkal: "Protection of Hindutva in Bhatkal is BJP's primary responsibility as Bhaktal is declared globally a terrorist haven. Master-mind of bomb blasts that took place in various places in India is from Bhatkal itself." This aggressive thought was expressed by BJP MP Anant Kumar Hegde to garner votes as assembly elections are near. In this BJP workers conference that was organized at Shri Venkteshwar Namdhari Sabha Bhavan, near Jali Road, the key speaker Mr Anant Kumar expressed in his hate-ridden speech that "15 years back I had informed the Government that illegal activities are being carried out in Bhatkal, but that time no one gave attention to my words but the truth has been now known to Government. If the government had listened to me and carried out an investigation at that time itself we wouldn't have had to see this day." While terming Janata Dal and Congress as family parties, he said that "Janata Dal's existence is because of Gowda family and Congress party belongs to the Gandhi family. When these people will not exist, their party too will cease to be in existence. But in contrast to that the BJP is not a party of any family and has its own goal. Its aim is to protect the country's culture and civilization. If this protection is needed in Bhatkal and other places, then BJP should be made victorious." While expressing his happiness towards the huge turn-out of people, he mentioned that, if anyone says that there is split in the BJP then this huge gathering of people is their response. Our opponents after looking at this gathering can guess whether there is split in the BJP or not. During his speech, he also criticized Mr Shivanand Naik on numerous occasions who left the BJP and joined KJP. On this occasion, Bhatkal-Honnavar Assembly constituency's BJP candidate, Mr. Govinda Naik while expressing his thoughts said that he has not taken the candidature to amass wealth or to gain power but protection of Hindutva ideology is his main aim. On this occasion, he also shed light on various activities of the BJP party. Mr Keshav Naik also expressed his thoughts. Other BJP leaders too were present on the dais.
