Moulana Ilyas Nadvi returns from East Asia tour; Hosts interaction program

Bhatkal - Bhatkal's renowned Islamic Scholar and Chairman of Moulana Abul Hasan Ali Nadvi Islamic Academy, Moulana Ilyas Jakti Nadvi hosted a brief interaction program here at Academy premises to share the experience with the people of Bhatkal on his East Asia tour. It may be noted that, on Islamic Centre Tokyo's invitation he was recently visited Japan and on his return journey he also visited Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.
The program was started at around 5:00 pm with the Qir'at of Moulana Abdul Azeem Kazia, Asst Qazi, Jamatul Muslimeen and was presided over by Master Shafi Shabandri, Administrator Jamia Islamia Bhatkal.
Later while interacting with the audience Moulana Ilyas Nadvi provided complete information about his 15 day dawah tour. He said, 'On invitation of Dr Saleemur Rahman, Director of Islamic Center Tokyo who is also a Shura Council member of Nadvatul Ulema, Lucknow, he visited Japan.' He said the main objective of his journey was to share the dawah related experience and functioning of Moulana Abul Hasan Academy with Islamic Center Tokyo.
While speaking about inflation and cost of living in Japan he said, 'Tokyo is one of the costliest city in the world, you have to shell out 150/- rupees for one litre water, 2000/- rupees for 1 Kg onion and 15,000 dollars (aprox Rs 7 lakh) for burial of a dead body in the graveyard.' He also shed light on Malaysia's Islamic culture, its Islamic banking system and Singapore's beauty and cleanliness.
The program was concluded with the dua of Moulana Abdul Aleem Qasmi just before Maghrib prayers. Moulana Maqbool Nadvi proposed vote of thanks. A large number of people from in and around Bhatkal were present.
