Motorcyclist missing after Venktapur accident found dead

January 02, 2016 | Rizwan Gangavaly | Bhatkallys News Bhatkal: The dead body of motorcyclist who went missing after Venktapur road accident that occurred on the new year eve was found today morning in a pit dug near the bridge for highway expansion work. The victim has been identified as Yogesh Naik (24). Immediately after the incident, locals searched for the youth near the accident spot but did not find any clue. The victim's body was spotted floating today morning under the bridge in a deep trench dug for national highway widening. When the news reached the police, Bhatkal CPI Prashant Naik along with other officers reached the spot and took out the dead body. The corpse was handed to the victim's kin after autopsy at Government Hospital, Bhatkal. - ARF
