NEW DELHI: Waiting to buy Motorola's low-cost Moto G smartphone? Here's good news, Moto G is back in stock. Both the 8 and 16GB variants of the device are now available for purchase on Flipkart, Motorola's official partner in India. Moto G had gone out of stock in the country in February, with Flipkart showing waiting time of 10-20 days till new stock arrive. Soon thereafter, the 8GB model was back in stock, but the 16GB variant remained unavailable. This development also suggests that Flipkart has shipped all pending orders of Moto G. Moto G went on sale in India on February 6 and was sold within a day of its launch. The 8GB variant is priced at Rs 12,499, whereas the 16GB model costs Rs 13,999; Flipkart is offering one-day delivery service with the device. Since its official unveiling, the smartphone has received the Android 4.4 update, making it one of the few devices to run the latest version of Google's mobile operating system. The key hardware specifications of the device include 4.5-inch HD screen, 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB RAM, free 65GB cloud storage. The absence of microSD card and a 5MP camera are being considered as its two weak points. At the recently-concluded Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Motorola tweeted that Moto G has become the company's highest-selling smartphone of all time. Apart from India, Moto G is available in the US, Brazil, Canada, Europe and Latin America. Earlier, Flipkart co-founder and CEO, Sachin Bansal, said, "Our page views increased by 100% during the launch and the Moto G page saw a million page views on February 6. Also, inbound calls to customer support number doubled and we had close to 20,000 queries on Moto G alone during the day." Motorola has also announced that it will launch the Moto X smartphone in India in the "next few weeks." It is expected that the company will once again tie up with Flipkart to sell its flagship smartphone, considering the success of Moto G. Times of India
