Moodbidri: Snake catching expert dies after being bitten by Serpent

Moodbidri 14 Jan 2018: In a shocking incident, a snake catcher Dolphi D'Souza (33), died on Thursday while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Moodbidri.
Dolphi, a painting labour by profession was also adept in catching snakes. He was known for his extra-ordinary knack of getting hold of snakes and use to the spot immediately after being informed about snakes in residential areas.
According to the sources, Dolphi was accidentally bitten by Serpent on his hand on Friday when he was trying to catch it in the courtyard of Rajendra Kini of Moodbidri.
He was rushed to a private hospital but couldn't survive and breath his last at the hospital later in the evening.
