MoI sets up 10 centres for amnesty seekers

Ten centres with all necessary facilities are ready to welcome residency violators who plan to seek amnesty recently declared in the UAE.
The centres set up by the Interior Ministry across various emirates aims to facilitate smooth repatriation of the residency violators to their home countries as part of the general amnesty which will begin on 4th December and last until 4th February 2013.
The centres are located at EIDA registration centre in Musaffah- Abu Dhabi, the Directorate of Residency and Foreigner’s Affairs in Al Ain, the Directorate of Residency and Foreigner’s Affairs in the Western Region (Al Gharbia), Violators and Foreigners Follow-up Section in Alaweer in Dubai, Department of Residency and Foreigners’ Affairs in Sharjah, Naturalisation and Residency affairs Office in Khor Fakkan, Residency and Foreigners Affairs Directorate in Zazeerat-al-Hamra Ras Al Kahimah, and the Residency and Foreigners Affairs Directorates each in Ajman, Umm Al Qaiwain and Fujairah.
Director of Sharjah Department of Residency and Foreigners Affairs Brigadier Dr. Abdullah Ali Saeed bin Sahoo urged the violators to benefit from this opportunity and leave the country without any legal actions against them.
Bigadier Sahoo, who also heads the media campaign committee of the general amnesty, said that the violators can call the toll-free number 8005111 to seek information about the procedures to follow.
