Mohan Naik elected President of Bhatkal Taluka Working Journalists Association

Bhatkal: 23 Dec,2025 (Bhatkallys News Bureau)  Mohan Naik was unanimously elected president of the Bhatkal Taluka Working Journalists Association in the election held on Monday. Shailesh Vaidya was elected general secretary, while Atiqur Rahman Shabandari was chosen as vice-president and Fayyaz Mulla as treasurer.

Congratulating the newly elected office-bearers, senior journalist R. K. Bhatt urged them to work towards making the association more active and effective. Senior journalist Satish Kumar Naik said the new team should take up the issue of constructing a dedicated building for the journalists’ association in Bhatkal by meeting State Minister and Bhatkal MLA Mankal Vaidya. He also called upon the office-bearers to make efforts to strengthen the association.

Honorary president of the association M. R. Manvi, along with Raghuvendra Hebbar, Rizwan Gangavalli, Maulavi Azhar Barmawar, Vishnu Devadiga, Manmohan Naik, Lokesh Naik, Prasanna Bhatt, Eshwar Naik, Bhaskar Naik and Inayatullah Gawai, were present on the occasion.
