Mohammad phones UAE’s top students

Dubai: Four pupils who topped the list of high achievers in 2016-2015’s secondary exams learnt the good news in unexpected fashion — through a telephone call from His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. Grade 12 examination results for schools operating under the Ministry of Education are scheduled to be announced on Thursday. In the scientific stream, Hajar Ahmad Al Kotaivan from Al Andalus Private Academy in Al Ain ranked first with 99.9 while Esra Ahmad Abu Al Hussain Ebrahim from Al Refaa School in Al Ain came first in the Literary stream with 99.3. Razan Sulaiman Mohammad Mosa Al Kaabi from Al Shifa Bint Abdullah Girls School in Sharjah got the highest mark among Emirati students with 99.2 in scientific stream while in Literary stream, Wafa Rashid Mohammad Bin Sabah Al Yamahi from Al Tawyeen Basic and Secondary Education School in Fujairah came first with 99. Shaikh Mohammad congratulated the students for their excellence wishing them further success and excellence to build a brighter future for them and for their countries. The four students expressed happiness at Shaikh Mohammad’s call informing them about their results before the official result announcement. They and their families also expressed gratitude to Shaikh Mohammad for his personal follow up and keen interests to serve the education in the UAE at all levels Gulf News
