Mohammad inaugurates Quran Printing Centre

Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, yesterday inaugurated the Mohammad Bin Rashid Quran Printing Centre,
The centre will be the first of its kind to provide copies of the Quran in all typescript, writing styles and variant readings for all Muslim countries.
Shaikh Mohammad said, “Serving the book of God, as well as preserving, printing and disseminating the Holy Quran is the grace of Allah and I thank God for guiding me to do part of my duty in serving Islam and Muslims.”
With an annual production capacity of 6 million copies, the new Quran printing centre initially aims to print the ‘Khalifa Bin Zayed Mus’haf’ (edition of the Holy Quran) and the ‘Shaikh Maktoum Bin Rashid Mus’haf’. Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and Shaikh Maktoum Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, other shaikhs and senior officials were present.
Tolerance and peace
The centre is aimed at promoting true message of Islam, the teachings of the Quran and the Sunnah (the way of life prescribed as normative for Muslims on the basis of the teachings and practices of the Prophet Mohammad PBUH), tolerance, moderation and intercultural interaction in order to achieve peace and co-existence between all races and to make the world a better place for humanity.
The new centre will bene-fit from the facilities of Masar Printing and Publishing, Dubai’s leading high quality printing and publishing house.It will also continue to coordinate with Dubai’s Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities, Dubai International Holy Quran Award and charities in the UAE and abroad to ensure full services in all stages of printing the Holy Quran.
The establishment of the state-of-the-art centre is in line with the wise directives of Shaikh Mohammad and the UAE’s strong interest in serving the Holy Quran through a dedicated full-time team.
