M'luru to have flight to B'luru every two hours

MANGALURU: Come March, Mangaluru will have a flight to Bengaluru every two hours. At present, the city has nine flights to Bengaluru every day. While six of these flights are operated by Jet Airways, SpiceJet operates two and the latest entrant to the Mangaluru sector - Air Pegasus -one.
 JT Radhakrishna, director, Mangaluru International Airport (MIA), said Jet Airways has indicated that it would add three more ATR flights to Bengaluru from March 27. The additional flights will leave Mangaluru at 2pm, 4.55pm and 10.45pm, he said, pointing out that at present the last flight from Mangaluru -by Jet Airways -leaves for Bengaluru 8.40pm. Jet Airways is also the first airline to touch down at MIA from Bengaluru at 7am every day , he added.
