MLA JD Naik paid surprise visit to Bhatkal Govt Hsopital

Bhatkal - 28 July 2011: Bhatkal MLA, Mr J D Naik on Tuesday paid a surprise visit to the Govt Hospital after receiving many complaints about the mismanagement & other irregularities and inspected the functioning of the Hospital. He expressed his anguish over the dismal condition of hospital and shortage of staff and called an emergency meet to discuss the problems.
Speaking to reporters he said, 'When i reached here, i found only one doctor and few nurses on duty, rest of the staffs were either on leave or absent. He also said, 'Many electric fans, bulbs and tube lights were not working and the water supply was also not in proper condition.' He added that, atleast six specialist doctors are needed in this Hospital for its normal functioning and Govt is ready to pay Rs 75,000 per month to each doctors.
