Missing Karwar Deputy SP found in Sankasala forests

Karwar Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP), Shankar Marihal who went missing has been found in the forests of Sankasala, on Ankola-Yellapur border on Sunday. A group of officials from Forest and Police department with the help of locals traced Marihal in the forests, according to sources. The senior police officer was brought out of the dense forests of Uttar Kannada from the Idagundi route, near Yellapur by the team which traced him after a marathon hunt. Inspector Nishal Kumar and another police constable who were also missing along with Marihal also have been found. According to sources, the team headed by Marihal entered the forests in connection with an investigation into a high profile case. None of Marihal's team members were not accessible on phone since yesterday morning. Source: The New Indian Express
