Minister RV Deshpande inaugurates CT scan machine at KIMS of Karwar

Karwar 25 September 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Uttara Kannada District in-charge Minister RV Deshpande on Monday inaugurated CT scan machine here at Karwar Institute of Medical Science (KIMS) hospital. Speaking on the occasion Minister Deshpande said “As people have to approch private hospital for the advance treatement, it becomes difficult for the poor to do so. As CT scan facility is now aviliable here, people can make use of this facility” He added. The Director of KIMS Dr. Shivanand Doddamane addressed the gathering and said “,"The government had decided to provide CT scan machines to some selected hospitals through the Department of Health and Family Welfare. Following which KIMS had sent a proposal to the government to operate the machine under Public Private Partnership (PPP) model. The government has accepted the proposal and allowed Krishna Diagnostic Company to install the CT scan machine. The maintenance of the machine will be looked after by the Krishna Diagnostic Company". Minister Deshpande also inagurated the Mobile healthcare services and also distributed free wheelchairs to the disabled during the occasion. Karwar MLA Roopali Naik, Karwar DC SS Nakul and others were present during the occasion. (Bhatkallys News Bureau)
