Mini Bus overturns at Bhatkal NH-17; 1 died 12 injured

Bhatkal - A Mini bus with 14 passengers on board overturned near Tengingundi cross, NH-17 Bhatkal as a result one person died on the spot and 12 injured. The incident took place today morning when the driver lost control of this vehicle trying to evade oncoming lorry. The deceased has been identified as Rama Nagappa Naik (45) of Shirali, Chitrapur. The driver who was severely wounded was rushed to Kundapur while other injured have been admitted to Bhatkal Govt Hospital. The traffic on the busy highway was disrupted for half an hour following this accident. A case has been registered in the Bhatkal police station.
