Mild tremors felt in Uttarakhand

Mild tremors were felt in Pithoragarh and nearby areas on the India-Nepal border when a earthquake measuring 4.8 on the Richter Scale hit the district on Tuesday. "A lot of hullabaloo was created and people moved out of their houses when they felt the tremors, but there was no damage to life and property," an official at the disaster management department in Pithoragarh said. The earthquake had its epicentre at Askot in Pithoragarh district. Agencies
