Maulana Abdul Mateen Muniri delivers keynote address on Quran’s manuscripts at Aligarh Muslim University

Aligarh: 14 October 2023 (Bhatkallys News Bureau) On Saturday, October 14, 2023, an academic meeting was convened at Aligarh Muslim University's Center for Al-Qur'an Studies. The event focused on the Qur'an and the manuscripts of Islamic sciences and saw the participation of prominent educators and esteemed personalities from Aligarh Muslim University.

The session commenced with a recitation of the Holy Quran. The welcome address was delivered by Prof. Abdul Rahim Sahib Qadwai, Director of the Center for Al-Quran Studies. Dr. Muhammad Ayub Akram, a respected Quranic scholar, shared his insights during the event. 

Maulana Abdul Mateen Muniri delivered the keynote speech, addressing the attendees on the significance of Quranic manuscripts and Quran. The discussion delved into the complex and vital aspects of Islamic studies.

During the event mementos and tokens of gratitude were presented to the esteemed guests. The session concluded with a formal vote of thanks.

Noteworthy is the presence of 35 mosques within the university premises, each affiliated with specific departments, reflecting a distinctive characteristic of Aligarh Muslim University. The institution boasts a teaching staff comprising 2000 members, and retirement for faculty occurs at the age of 65, underscoring the institution's commitment to academic excellence and dedicated service.
