Maulana Abdul Aleem Qasmi elected new president of Jamia Islamia Bhatkal, Atiq-ur-Rehman Muniri elected member of Majlis-e-Shura

Bhatkal: August 18, 2020 (Bhatkallys News Bureau) The post of President of Jamia Islamia Bhatkal, a popular religious seminary in North Karnataka, was left vacant after the death of former President Maulana Iqbal Mullah Nadvi, while a seat for Majlis-e-Shura was also vacant. However, in today's meeting of the Working Committee, Maulana Abdul Aleem Qasmi has been unanimously elected for this prestigious post and Mr. Atiq-ur-Rehman Muniri has been selected for the membership of the Majlis-e-Shura. Maulana Abdul Aleem Sahib Qasmi has previously served as the Deputy Nazim of Jamia Islamia Bhatkal and has also held a high position in Jamiatu-Salihat. Similarly, he has been associated with Naqsh-e-Nawaat in the world of journalism for a long time. He has also received an award from former President Pratibha Patil for his services. Similarly, Atiq-ur-Rehman Muniri is one of the prominent businessmen of Bhatkal. At present, he is the Vice President of the Reform and Organisation Council and is engaged in performing social services in the city.
