Mankal Vaidya launches Ksheera Bhagya scheme

Bhatkal: Ksheera Bhagya scheme, launched by the government, under which school students will get 150 ml of milk thrice a day, was inaugurated here by Bhatkal MLA Mankal Vaidya. Speaking at the function, Mr. Vaidya said that in the contemporary world most of the food items are insubstantial, hence, children have low immunity and are prone to diseases, which in turn affect their health. He said, the programme would help tackle malnutrition among children and will keep them strong and healthy.
On this occasion, he requested the teachers to take good care of the students. BIO Bhatkal Devidas Moger on this occasion, said that this scheme has been launched by the government to strengthen the health and mental capabilities of children. He further said that under this scheme, Class 1 till Class 10 students of all government schools in Bhatkal will be provided milk.
On this occasion, Ishwar Doddimane, Shanti Moger, Albert, Kumar Naik, Chinappa and other people were present.
