Manipal: Student rescues newborn girl abandoned near Manna Palla

Manipal: A newborn baby girl was found abandoned at a walking track at Manna Palla here on Tuesday, August 14. In the morning, Mayuri, a dental student of Kasturba Medical College, was walking in the area when she noticed the two-day-old baby wailing next to the track surrounding the Manna Palla lake. The student made arrangements to admit the baby to the hospital. Reports said the baby is healthy. The Child Welfare Department officials have lodged a complaint at the Manipal Police station.
