Mangaluru’s first COVID-19 patient of Bhatkal discharged

Mangaluru: A 22-year-old youth from Bhatkal who had tested positive for COVID-19 has recovered and was discharged on Monday, April 6. The first coronavirus positive case in the district was recorded on March 22, however, the youth was admitted to Wenlock hospital on March 19 and was undergoing treatment there. The youth’s throat swab samples were sent for examination on April 2 and 3, both of which have come negative. As he has recovered from COVID-19 infection was discharged from the hospital today. Meanwhile, Hospital sources informed that out of four people from Kasargod who came from flights on March 24 from Dubai and Saudi Arabia who tested positive, two have been healed.
