Mangaluru: VHP, Bajrang Dal submit memorandum to Police Commissioner seeking ban on new year parties

Zaorez Shabab Mangaluru 28 Dec 2017: The city wings of Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) on Wednesday Dec 27 submitted an memorandum to the City Police Commissioner T.R Suresh, asking the police department to ban the new year parties and celebration in the city, while urging him to close down all the bars and pubs by 11.00 pm on Dec 31 to avoid any untoward incident. Leaders from both the organizations met Commissioner Suresh, and submitted the memorandum. The memorandum also had a mention of 'Love Jihad' saying it is already prevailing in the city rapidly and young Hindu girls are victimized and trapped to take part in such activities. The memorandum further condemned the parties and celebrations already scheduled in some pubs and bars in the city. In any untoward incident that takes place during such parties, both the organizations have collectively called on police to take the direct responsibility of it and urged them to avoid any such issue, they should call a ban on such DJ parties and celebrations in the city.
