Mangaluru: Shobha Karandlaje concerned about her safety; acquire licensed pistol for self defense

Bhatkallys News Bureau/ Wafa Kifa Mangaluru 05 March 2018: Post murder of Right wing activist Sharat Madivala at BC road, in Mangaluru, Udupi-chikkamangluru MP Shoba Karandlaje has reportedly been receiving several death threats calls. As a precautionary measure the BJP MP has acquired a self defense pistol after securing permission from Bengaluru city commissioner of police recently. Shoba said that acquiring self defense arm has become the necessity to be safe in the fearful atmosphere created by Congress government allegedly with collaboration of organizations like PFI and KFD. She then called for enforcing ban on both PFI and KDF while calling them perpetrators of the murders of Hindu activists that are taking place in the state. Upon questioning on the threat calls, she said she had complained about it to Chikkamangluru SI Annamalai. The calls were from internet numbers hence police are finding difficult in identifying the callers.
