Mangaluru: Safwan kidnapping case cracked, two arrested three prime accused still on run

Bhatkallys News Bureau/ I. Zaorez Shabab Mangaluru 28 Nov 2017: The city police on Monday arrested two persons in connection with the Safwan kidnapping case from Bandra Mumbai. The arrested accused are identified as Mohammed Faizal Ibrahim Sheikh (36) of Moodbidri and Sahil Ismail (22) of Krishnapur. According to the interrogation till now, it has been revealed that on October 5, Safwan was taken in an Ertiga car by  Shamshuddin alias Shamshu and his gang following which a complaint of kidnapping was filed at Suratkal Police Station by Abdul Hameed. The accused also revealed that Safwan was taken to Karkala, where he was murdered and his body was disposed at Agumbe Ghat. However three of the prime accused are still on run, while police is also looking for the car which was used in kidnapping Safwan, and people who sheltered the accused while the police was looking for them. Mangaluru Police Commissioner T Suresh has been personally monitoring the case along with other top officials of the department.
