Mangaluru: Prostitution racket busted; 11 arrested

Bhatkallys News Bureau/ Wafa Kifa Mangaluru 03 April 2018: On Monday, April 2, a prostitution racket in the city was busted by the Bunder police along with the CCB Police at a massage centre called Sanjivini Ayurvedic Therapy Clinic located at Topaz Complex of K S Rao Road. The arrested have been identified to be the owner of clinic Harish Shetty of Farangipet, C K Pattakandi Prasuran from Kerala, Ravood M K from Kannur, Sadakatullah from Nellaya, Abdul Rehman from Mangaluru, Sachindra M from Kannur, Dithin Das from Kannur, Anas from Kalipur, Rajesh from Palakkad and Siyad from Kannur. Acting on the reliable information that the clinic facilitates prostitution on the name of body Massage, the team raided the massage centre and arrested 11 person involved in a racket. Police also siezed 13 Mobile Phones and Cash of Rs 53,400 from their Possession. The accused were handed over to North police branch for further investigation. The operation was carried out by CCB Inspector Shantaram Kundar along with the North Police Inspector Yogish Kumar, CCB PSI H D Kabbal Raj, North PSI Pradeep T R and other police personnel.
