Mangaluru: No water scarcity in Managaluru this summer, says Mayor

Bhatkallys News Bureau Mangalore: The water level at the Thumbe vented dam across Nethravathi river that supplies drinking water to the city, has raised to six meters, said Mayor Kavitha Sanil on Monday, Jan 15. Kavitha Sanil visited the dam on Monday and surveyed the water level which has been raised to six meters. Mayor, told reporters that Mangaluru city will not be introducing water rationing this summer as the water level has increased compared to last year. Last year the water level was five meters measuring about 9.17MCM of water storage in the dam. However, with six meter, currently the dam has 10.83MCM water, said Mayor.
