Mangaluru: Nawaiti participants perform well at Kavita fest's Konkani poetry reciting competition

Bhatkallys News Bureau/ Ismail Zaorez Mangaluru 15 Jan 2018: Mohammed Suhail and Farhad Ali Ruknuddin both participants  from Bhatkal who took part in Kavita fest's All India Konkani Poetry Reciting competition in Mangaluru performed well in the competition, Mohammed Suhail secured fourth place while Farhad Ali Ruknuddin received consolation prize in the event. The event was organized in Mangaluru at Bodhi Tree The Farm House at Jeppu, by Kavita Trust, a trust that is putting in efforts for the promoting and preserving Konkani language. Both Mohammed Suhail and Farhad Ali had secured places in final rounds of the All India Konkani Poetry Reciting competition by performing well in the semi finals that were held in Brahmawara earlier in 2017. Suhail and Farhad were representing Nawayath Mehfil, an organization that works to promote and preserve the Nawaiti language which finds its roots in Konkani Language.
