Mangaluru: Mortal remains of Safwan recovered, funeral after taking samples for DNA tests

Mangaluru 29 Nov 2017: Mortal remains of Safwan who was kidnapped and murdered on October 5 by a rowdy gang, were recovered on Tuesday 28 Nov near Agumbe Ghat.
Mangaluru City Police on Monday had arrested two accused from Bandra Mumbai and it was revealed during the interrogation that the body of Safwan was disposed at Agumbe Ghat, which was followed by a search operation which continued for several hours, before recovering the mortal remains.
Almost two months after the murder, only a skeletal remains could be traced, and a DNA test will now follow to confirm the identity of the body.
According to the family sources, the funeral of Safwan was expected to take place on Wednesday 29 Nov after the formalities of collecting DNA samples is over.
