Mangaluru journey to cost more with toll gates prices hiked from April 01

Bhatkallys News Bureau/ Wafa Kifa Mangaluru 30 March 2018: The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has enhanced the user fee at toll booths of NITK, Surathkal on NH 66 and Brahmarakootlu on NH 75 with effect from Sunday, April 1. At Suratkal toll plaza, the fee for private four wheelers is same as that of earlier Rs 50 for single journey but it will be Rs 75 instead of Rs 70 for the return journey, similarly Rs 80 and Rs 120 for light commercial vehicles; Rs 170 and Rs 255 for trucks/ buses. Fee also has been hiked for three-axle commercial vehicles and vehicles over seven axles. For non commercial vehicles located within 20kms of toll plaza, monthly pass of Rs 225 will be charged and for buses, trucks etc it will be Rs 5,650. While light commercial vehicles will have to pay the monthly charge of 2,695 in place of Rs 2,585. At the Brahmarakootlu plaza, the fee for four-wheeled private vehicles is increased to Rs 25 for single journey and Rs 35 for a return journey as earlier while Rs 40 and Rs 60 for light commercial vehicles and Rs 80 and Rs 120 for truck/ bus. Similarly hike of rate affectef for three-axle commercial vehicles and heavy vehicles. Monthly Pass charges for light vehicles have been hiked to Rs 800 from Rs 770 while for commercial, transport vehicles and for mini buses it will be Rs 1,295 instead of Rs 1,240.
