Mangaluru: 'JD(s) will never make an alliance with Congress and SDPI' says H.D Devegowda

Mangaluru: Former Prime Minister and Janata Dal (Secular) supremo H.D. Deve Gowda will take out a peace yatra at Mangaluru in the month of February to generate confidence among the people in areas affected by recent communal tension. It was announced in the press meet held at the Circuit House on January 22, Monday.
Addressing the media personnel Mr. Gowda said that, they are trying since last few months to hold Peace March. But, due to some hurdles coming between they could not hold it. He further said, they will now conduct the Peace March and a party conference in the second week of February in order to restrain the confidence among general public which are disturbed by day to day communal tensions.
He further talked on forthcoming election issue. He assured to bring the solutions of Mahadayi, Kaveri and the problems facing by farmers if their party comes to the power.
On questioned upon his view of joining hands with Congress party and SDPI, Gowda clearly rejects it saying that JD(S) has certain principles and the party can never compromised with their principles.
JD(S) State General Secretary B M Farooq, JD(S) District President Mohammed Kunhi, MLC candidate Ashwin Pereira, Azeez Kudroli and many others were present.
