Mangaluru: Illegal liquor worth 11 Lakhs seized; accused arrested

Bhatkallys News Bureau Mangaluru 24 Feb 2018: One person was arrested along with the illegal liquor of around 7,805 litres and the vehicle was siezed by the Excise department here at Bajal on Tuesday during the raid. The accused is identified as Jose Sebastian. Press release by Excise department revealed that, the personnel found 3,955 litres of spirit stored in 113 plastic cans of 35 litre capacity each inside the accused residence at Bajal and another 110 cans of 35 litre capacity each containing 3,850 litres of spirit loaded on a truck. The siezed alcohol is estimated to be worth Rs 11 Lakh. Excise Superintendent Vinod along with Deputy Superintendent S.S.Amarnath Bhandary, Shivaprasad and many other officials participated in the raid, the release added.
