Mangaluru: Crime Prevention Week organized by city police

Mangaluru 10 Dec 2017: Mangaluru Police on Saturday December 9 kicked off the crime prevention week, by taking out rally from Town Hall to Police Community hall.
Mangaluru Police Commissioner TR Suresh inaugurated the crime prevention week. During the event he said "We are organizing the program (Crime Prevention Week) to create awareness among locals about the crimes that are taking place in the city. He also stressed upon creating awareness among children and women who are most often found to be the victims of the crimes.
"Making people feel safer in their areas and in the city is the main motto of this week long event, while also educating them about the different ways in which they can be tricked and duped by the criminals so they can take the precautionary measures." He further added that Public co-operation plays an important role in controlling any crime and to make a city crime free.
Students of several colleges participated in the rally.
ACP - South Rama Rao, ACP- Traffic Manjunath Shetty, DCP- Law and Order Hanumantharaya, ACP Uday Nayak, were among other present at the event.
