Mangaluru bound Air India Express flight from Dubai lands at Coimbatore Airport due to bad weather

Mangaluru: An Air India Express Flight heading towards Mangaluru International Airport from Dubai International Airport was forced to land at Coimbatore Airport due to bad weather conditions in Mangaluru. The Air India Express IX 418 flight with 180 passengers onboard was scheduled to land at Mangaluru International Airport at 4.25 am but the flight landed at Coimbatore Airport at 5.am due to bad weather conditions. The passengers have also complained about the being stranded at remote Coimbatore Airport without adequate arrangements of food and other necessities by the flight management. The passengers also added that women and kids on flight were suffering without arrangement of food. The passengers expressed their anguish that about 180 passengers were stranded for more than 7 hours at the Coimbatore airport without proper facilities. Source: Vartha Bharathi
