Mangaluru Big Bazaar raided for not reducing GST rates, case of 'Cheating' filed against the company

Zaorez Shabab Mangaluru 26 Nov 2017: A case of cheating has been registered against Big Bazaar after the officials from the department of weights and measures raided the Attavar branch of Big Bazaar, when the allegations of non reduction of GST rates started making rounds even after the central govt reduced the GST rates of over 170 items on Nov 15. Big Bazaar was said to be selling the goods at the same old GST rates, which led to the raid by the department officials. The officials also said that they plan to raid more shopping malls in a bid to secure fair and transparent GST rates being applied, while also requesting people to be careful while buying goods. A case of cheating has been registered against the Big Bazaar after the raid.
