Mangaluru: Auto driver from city returns Rs 1,10,000 left behind by passenger

Mangaluru: In an exemplary show of honesty, an autorickshaw driver returned a bag containing Rs 1,10,000 left behind by a passenger. Shameer, resident of Kannur took an auto from Kankanady Railway station to Yenepoya Hospital for the treatment for his knee pain. While alighting from the auto as he reached the destination, Shameer left his cash bag on the seat of the auto rickshaw. When Shameer realized that he left his bag in the auto rickshaw, he informed the police about the incident. Meanwhile, the auto driver Vasanth Shetty who saw a bag on the rear seat of his auto too brought the issue to the notice of the police and handed over the bag to them. Later the Police returned the cash to Shameer in presence of Vasanth Shetty. Police and Shameer both appreciated the honesty of auto driver Vasanth Shetty. Source: News Karnataka
