Mangalore: Miraculous escape for passengers as the bus plunges onto house

Mangalore - The passengers of a service bus had a miraculous escape with minor injuries, when the vehicle in which they were traveling went off the roads and plunged into a gorge and fell on a newly built house on Thursday, October 28.
The mishap took place at Paduvacchil, near Mittakodi of Kurnadu village under the limits of Konaje police station. The bus named Sharada, was plying from BC Road to Mangalore via Mudipu-Konaje, when the driver, who has been identified as Purushotham, lost control over his vehicle while manoeuvring a curve.
It is said that there was no one inside the house when the tragedy occurred. The house belongs to a certain Mohammed.
According to Konaje police, there were only 18-20 passengers onboard the bus and they have already been discharged from KS Hegde Hospital in Derala Katte after receiving treatment for their minor injuries.
