Mangalore Jamat organises workshop on ‘New Age Career Programs’

MANGALURU: A very fruitful half-day career counselling workshop on ‘New age career programs’ along with a motivational talk on ‘path to success’ was organised here yesterday by Bhatkali Jamaatul Muslimeen (BJM), Mangaluru on its hostel premises.
The resource person for the workshop, Ameen-e-Mudassar, CEO of CIGMA, Bangalore and a renowned career counsellor, gave an overview of the new courses that are in demand in the current times and offered tips how to achieve academic success. He said, “Courses like App developer, Digital marketing, Animation film maker, eCommerce, Supply chain logistics, Bio-medical engineering, blogger, technical writer, content writer, brand management, artificial intelligence, data scientist, video journalist, social media manager, allied health sciences, are some of the most sought after career options these days and some of these can be taken up even after graduation.”
Earlier at the workshop inauguration ceremony, Aftab H. Kola, senior journalist and convenor of the BJM Education Committee, said, “With study avenues and career options expanding like never before and pandemic offering new opportunities there is a need to know about the new, emerging courses that have been introduced in the recent past. And we thought the students should be abreast of these new educational developments happening round them.”
SM Arshad, president of BJM, Mangaluru, outlined the activities of the organisation and said more such opportunities would be provided to update the skills of the students. Abdurrahman Musba, city’s renowned chartered accountant; Yusuf Kola, principal, Anjuman PU College, Bhatkal; Zahid Kharuri, registrar, Anjuman Institute of Technology and Management, Bhatkal; and Hibban Shabandri, vice-principal, Anjuman degree college, Bhatkal, and Imtiaz Damda, general secretary, BJM, were present on the occasion. Mohammed Husain Kharuri, BJM vice-president, proposed a vote of thanks.
Sixty students attended the workshop.
