Man tries to commit suicide during protest as Muniyal Uday Kumar did not secure Congress ticket from Karkala

Karkala 18 April 2018 (Bhatkallys News Bureau): After the Congress party announced its candidate list on April 16, wherein former MLA Gopal Bhandary  managed to secure ticket from Karkala constituency, several protests were taken out by the outraged locals across the constituency against Congress senior leader Veerappa Moily alleging his role in denying ticket to Muniyal Uday Kumar. In one of such protest, one of the supporter of Congress leader Muniyal Uday Kumar Shetty tried to immolate self by pouring kerosene on himself on Tuesday, April 17 during the protest in which hundreds of supporters came out on streets raising slogans against Moily.
