Man thrashes auto driver over sounding horn

September 18, 2015 | Rizwan Gangavaly | Bhatkallys News Bhatkal: An auto-rickshaw driver was allegedly beaten up on Friday evening by a youth near Lowna Complex due to a tiff that erupted between them over sounding the horn. As per sources, the auto-driver identified as Jalal Mohammed Meeran was passing through the road adjacent to Lowna Complex when he sounded horn to a car stationed on the road. This agitated the car driver and he thrashed the auto-driver due to which the latter sustained severe injuries. After providing the auto-driver with first-aid treatment at Government Hospital in Bhatkal he was later shifted to Kundapur. A case has been registered at Bhatkal Police Station. -ARF
