Man injured in leopard attack in Siddapur

A man was injured after being attacked by a leopard in Siddapur village of Sandur taluk on Sunday.
This is the second such attack since July 11. In the earlier case, Shankar Naik from Susheela Nagar in the taluk was killed.
The name of the injured in Sunday’s attack was given as Jambaiah (25).
According to officials from the Forest Department, Jambaiah had gone to graze his cattle when he was attacked by the wild cat.
On hearing the alarm raised by him, people working in nearby fields rushed towards him. On seeing the rushing people, the leopard fled.
Jambaiah has suffered bleeding injuries in the neck and head. He was immediately rushed to the Taluk Hospital and after first aid there, was referred to VIMS Hospital in Ballari.
