Man injured after Leopard attempts attack at cashew plantation in Bhatkal

Bhatkal: A man was injured after a leopard reportedly attempted to attack him at Kadalasalagadde in Muttalli gram panchayat limits of Bhatkal taluk.

The injured has been identified as Nagappa Devadiga, a resident of Kadalasalagadde. He is currently undergoing treatment at a local hospital.

According to information available, Nagappa had gone to a cashew plantation to collect cashew nuts when the incident took place. A leopard that was reportedly with its cubs suddenly moved towards him.

Frightened on seeing the animal, Nagappa tried to run away but fell down in the process and sustained injuries. He was immediately shifted to a hospital and is said to be under treatment.
