Man falls into river in Bhatkal and dies

Bhatkal, September 19, 2021 (Bhatkal News Bureau): A body was recovered from Venkatapur river near Sharali highway on Sunday. It was reported that the man was washing his hands and feet near the river on Saturday when he slipped and fell. The deceased has been identified as Venkat Raman Nagpa Gonda, 51, from Venkatapur. Upon receiving the information, Bhatkal Suburban Police rushed to the spot and after taking necessary action, shifted the body to Bhatkal Government Hospital. Police have registered a case in this regard and are investigating the matter.
