Man dies in Sajda, after Umrah

Riyadh - 05 July 2011: A Chadian man died while praying in a packed mosque in Saudi Arabia a day after he performed Umra (mini pilgrimage) in the holy city of Makkah, a newspaper in the Gulf kingdom reported on Monday.

Ahmed Adam Hassan bent down along with scores of Muslims at a mosque in the western Red Sea port of Jeddah and remained in the same position throughout the noon prayers, 'Sabq' said.

"When the others finished their prayers, they were surprised to see that Ahmed was still bending down...when they checked him, they found he was dead," the Arabic language daily said without mentioning his age.
