Man dies after falling from tree in Bhatkal

Bhatkal 27 January 2019: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) A daily wage laborer succumbs after falling from Arecanut tree which broke down while he was climbing on it to pluck the areca nut, here on Saturday 27 January. The deceased has been identified as Rama Thimappa Gond (38), a resident of Marukeri. According to the sources, when Rama climbed on a Areca nut tree to a certain height, the tree fell down due to his weight and he had a bad fall on the ground. However, he breathed his last near Trasi, while he was being taken to a hospital at Kundapur. A case has been registered at Bhatkal rural police station. (Bhatkallys News Bureau)
