Man arrested in Mundgod for killing deer

Mundgod 12 November 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Officials of forest department of Mundgod Taluk on Saturday night arrested a man for allegedly killing a deer and eating its flesh here at Basapura of Mundgod Taluka. The detained has been identified as Sidappa Agadi, a resident of Mundgod. According to the reports, days before his arrest on Saturday, Sidappa laid a trap in his garden and caught a male deer. He then allegedly killed it and ate its flesh and also distributed it among the neighbors. As the forest personnel received the information about killing, on Saturday night the officials raided his house and detained the accused. The police also seized the skin and the head of the deer during the raid. Forest officials including Suresh, Yallanayaka Hamani, Shankar Bagewadi, Anand Poojari, Devraj Adina, Shivappa and others were present during the raid. (Bhatkallys News Bureau)
