Malpe: Protest against unscientific fishing; Clash between two groups of fishermen

Malpe: A clash broke out between the deep sea fishers and Persian fishers while protesting against light fishing at Malpe port. Protesting against the Fisheries Department for not taking any action against the light fishing, the fishermen closed the main gate of the Malpe port and gathered in front of the Deputy Director of Fisheries' office. Meanwhile, the Persian fishers objected the closing of the gate and demanded to allow the fish truck to pass. Subsequently, a heated argument took place between the deep sea fishers and Persian fishers resulting tension in the region. Police rushed to the spot and pacified both the groups.
