Majlis Islah -o- Tanzeem elections on 27th May

Bhatkal - 14 May 2012: Elections for Majlis Islah -o- Tanzeem's executive council will be held on 27th May. This was announced by Mr Abdul Raqeeb M J at a press meet here in Tazeem office.

Providing the details he said that the members who are interested in contesting the elections are requested to file their nomination papers between 15 and 17th May 2012. The last date for withdrawal of nomination is 20th May. The final list will be made available next day. He said.

He said that this year Shura council elections will also be held. President or General Secretary of all masajid of Bhatkal will be considered as Shura council members and out of these members 11 get elected for executive council, for which the elections will be held on 23 and 24th May 2012.

He said that this year total 104 members will be elected for executive council. Out of 819 local members, 35 members will get elected and 11 from Shura council. Remaining executives will be elected from different BMJ's in India and abroad.

On this occasion Mr S M Syed Parvez, Mr Altaf Kharoori and others were present.
